He's almost at the finish line
After looking closer at shawn davis, i decided i would take more pictures of my hand, however closer getting a closer look at the form of the hand itself. At this point my aim is to make the hand seem like an indipendant organism. in this sense it could be compared wioth an animal or insect of some sort.
Looking closer into Shawn Davis
After Looking at John Coplans I decided to take a closer look at Shawn Davis, but mainly focusing on the tools he incorporates within the frame rather than his hands or what he does with his hands. I'm focused particularly on the lighting, and the arrangement of the tools.
My Photos
Here are my photos below of which i have take, i have taken each photo with an object.
Did i say John Coplans' photos- I ment My photos
After looking closely at John Coplans i decided i would take some of my own photos using a similar technique. in this set of photos i used a white piece of card as a backdrop. this created an greater contrast between the hand and the background. creating a higher level of definition. in each of the photos i have made out a different pose, which is illustrate by my hand.
In each of the shots chose a different shooting angle, this created a different image all together, furthermore giving off different connotations. in some of the frames i used a flash, to get a different level of quality. in the photo below a certain balance is denotable from the frame however, it is clear that this is actually more of a dynamic balance. This is illustrated, due to the direction of the fingers in the frame which are pointing outwards towards the edges of the frame.
In these photos i notice that there are many shadoes which dull the white backdrop, dimmening the effect, and reducing the qualtiy. this wouldn't be ideal for my final outcome and will be something to consider.
